Inspiration

BLADE RUNNER, MAYBACH & SEDANS OF 1930’s

Valkyrie Limousine was initially inspired by the Hydra Red concept car designed by Daniel Simon for the movie Captain America. I was totally stunned by the proportions of this beast and its shapes of the 30’s cars.
I wanted to try something similar, creating a huge luxurious Limousine, but both futuristic and still with those 30’s sedan shapes. I came quickly to the idea of a flying car, not aerodynamic with large wings but more on technology, like in the movie Blade Runner. With thrusters based on some “anti-gravity” technology to keep the original shape of a car.

I learned a lot on the automotive design from 30’s, they were plenty of European brands like Lancia, Talbot, Delage, Mercedes all very impressive and gorgeous in shapes. I also tried to find a present days brand with still the same kind of identity to see how shapes and lines evolved. Maybach was a good example and I had a crush on the Exelero, this massive luxurious sportive concept car was the illustration of the kind of concept I wanted to make.
